Functional description Encodes a member of the AINTEGUMENTA-like (AIL) subclass of the AP2/EREBP family of transcription factors and is essential for quiescent center (QC) specification and stem cell activity. It is a key effector for establishment of the stem cell niche during embryonic pattern formation. It is transcribed in response to auxin accumulation and is dependent on auxin response transcription factors.
